I review medical records, nursing documentation, applicable policies and procedures, and other case materials to evaluate whether the nursing care provided was consistent with the applicable standard of care.

The review may identify potential deviations, documentation concerns, communication failures, patient-safety issues, and whether appropriate nursing interventions and escalation occurred. Findings are clearly explained to help the retaining attorney understand the nursing issues relevant to the case.
