Independent Documentation of the Examination

As a nurse observer, I attend the examination and document what occurs, including the timing, questions asked, tests and physical maneuvers performed, and other relevant interactions. My role is to provide an accurate, impartial account while remaining within the parameters established by the retaining attorney and applicable examination order.

Following the examination, I prepare a clear written report that allows the legal team to compare what occurred during the examination with the examiner’s report and address any significant discrepancies.

How It Works

1. Pre-Examination Review: I review the examination notice, court order, attorney instructions, and relevant case information.

2. Client Preparation: I speak with the client before the examination to explain the process and reinforce the attorney’s instructions.

3. Examination Observation: I attend and objectively document the examination, including its duration, Ideal For, tests, maneuvers, and relevant interactions.

4. Written Report: I prepare a detailed report for the retaining legal team describing what occurred.
